Custom Mizuno Yoro Order- Double Nickel Satin MP-33 and MP R12 Wedges

We've got our first set of custom Yoro MP-33 blades done for customer Michael. So far the most popular model has been the MP-69. Like the MP-69 the MP-33 being  a muscle back, has the most custom options from Yoro Craft. Michael decided to go all out with this classic iron and order a 2-PW set! Its honestly rare these days that we have customers ordering a 2 iron let alone brands even offering them anymore. Michael topped it off with a 3 wedge set of MP R12's. Here are the custom specs:

Mizuno MP33 2-PW
Double Nickel Satin
33RB-FNAME Stamping
Own Name: MICHAEL
Mizuno Blue paintfill for Mizuno logo and Runbird
White Paintfill Iron Numbers and MICHAEL
Remove Grain Flow Forged
+0.5mm FP (Less offset)
Trailing edge grind
Nippon Modus 3 Stiff Soft Stepped Once
New Decade MCC Blue Mizuno Grips

Mizuno MP R12 50 56 60
Double Nickel Satin
R12-ANAME Stamping
33RB-FNAME Stamping
Own Name: MICHAEL
Mizuno Blue paintfill for Mizuno logo and Runbird
White Paintfill Iron Numbers and MICHAEL
Remove Grain Flow Forged
+0.5mm FP (Less offset)
Nippon Modus 3 Stiff
New Decade MCC Blue Mizuno Grips

Double Nickel Satin is near the top of my list for best Mizuno finishes.  You can really see the beautiful grains in the iron almost as if it were raw and just buffed but it is in fact plated. The classic lines of the MP-33 and the smaller Mizuno logo keep the iron clean as well as the lack of model number and Grain Flow Forged wording.

While many have gone for a W sole featuring both leading edge and trailing edge relief, Michael went for trailing edge relief only which you can clearly see in the above photo. Mizuno is probably the only mainstream manufacturer that offers custom offset to retail customers.  Many customers have been taking advantage of this as Michael did with a slight decrease in offset.

For the shafts, Nippon Modus3 Stiff were chose but soft stepped once all across the set. Grips are the MCC Mizuno Blues which are also used by Luke Donald. Overall a beautiful set of irons!

Love these irons and the customizing makes them even better. Mizuno never fail to amaze me with their sleek and modern design.

Without doubt one of the best golf irons on the market today.

Dunno about where the name is on the 33…….. kinda childish bordering on cheesy. The finish and the blue colors are nice, however.

How much was this set done for? I’d like to get a set very similar to these.
