Custom Mizuno Yoro Order – CRAIG. Double Nickel MP-69

Last month we began offering custom Mizuno irons through the TSG Pro shop and several long time members of our site decided to order their dream irons.  Every order takes around 4 weeks and our orders have slowly started trickling in. I posted about jimmieboi's MP-69 irons back here, and now our long time customer Craig from Australia's MP-69 order arrived today from Yoro.

Here are his specs:

MP-69 4-PW
Double Nickel Satin Finish
W Sole Grind
Grind sharper toe and straight top line
+0.5mm Face Progression (less offset)
69-CNAME610 Stamping
Remove "Grain flow Forged"
Dark blue (Mizuno blue) paintfill for logos
CRAIG. in white paintfill
38.5" 5 iron
60.5* 5 Iron
4: 24*, 5: 28*, 6: 32*, 7: 36*, 8: 40*, 9: 44*, PW: 48*
Nippon Modus3
Stiff Iomic Sticky 2.3 Red Round
3 Wraps on Grip
D4

Craig, as more of a sweeper, was the first customer to try the W Sole grind which adds a good amount of leading edge relief and a two step trailing edge relief for easy entry and exit in various turf conditions. Mizuno also offers a rounder sole grind for those who have a steep angle of attack and dig.

Craig also had Mizuno Yoro Craft grind a straighter and sharper top line and toe.  The lines look really superb.

Craig like most customers who have ordered the Yoro service opted for an increase in face progression which results in less offset.

The double nickel satin finish is superb and the Mizuno blue paintfill and white paintfill for Craig's name is a very nice compliment. You can really see the grains in the satin which looks simply awesome. The double nickel satin is of course plated which results in great durability as well as feel and looks.

Craig had Yoro adjust the lofts, lie angle and length and went with the Nippon Modus3 Stiff. Matching Iomic Sticky Reds with 3 wraps really go well with the shaft.

So far we have been very impressed with the finished product from Mizuno Yoro Craft. Its not cheap by any means but its personalized tour service, the same Luke Donald or any other tour pro gets and you get your irons the way you want. We should have a few more sets coming in the next few weeks so stay tuned!

How much does that set cost, exactly? Is that something you can divulge? I might order something if it can be within a reasonable range. Thanks

Every customers set is different and every option adds to the price. Just send me an email through our contact form and I can price a set out for you.

Hello Tario. Will any of the incoming orders be for any of the cavity back models? Curious to see what the CB options look like.

B, so far everyone is going for a blade. I don’t think we’ve done a cavity yet.
