<a class="reply-to" href="#comment-2250" rel="nofollow">@phizzy:</a>

Actually the Bangvoo and shafts like Quadra and Crazy are made from even higher grade carbon than the 4 and 5 star Honma. Honma 4 Star is 46 x 50t carbon while 5 star is 50 x 50t. Bangvoo is 70t and Quadra and Crazy are 80t for their top shafts.

YHere is my issue. As far as Scratch is concerned, you most likely right. I put a review on WRX and they bashed me so fast it was not funny. Some saying I dont like the feel of a true soft feel.
I read about your comment on Miura. I talked to Bill VP. he says to me that he has called you and emailed you to straighten this out and you have yet to call him back. That to me would only mean that your not fully telling the truth!!!
So what is it?

Received this in the 9.5 xstiff and absolutely love every aspect of this club. There are so many different combinations, you can taylor it to give you any outcome possible. The only problem that I have found is duplicating my swing consistently to take full advantage of this clubs capabilities. Awesome buy.

It came down to the stinger proto, fubuki alpha and the f1 motore vc6.0 speeder all in x-stiff for me. I found that the motore vc speeder was harder to control for me compared to the other 2 mitsubishi shafts. The stinger prototype had a lower launch angle compared to the alpha and motore speeder for me. This shaft also had the lowest spin as well. It's a good shaft for the lower handicap golfer, who has a fast club head and ball speed who tends to hit the ball high. I went with the alpha because it was affordable and a better shaft for my swing.

I'm guessing that the bangvoo would be similiar to honma's 4 or 5 star shaft which are very pricey but made from the absolute best graphite composite materials. My father who travels to asia for business has a honma driver with a 4 star shaft, which launches straight drives when struck on the sweet spot, but draws ever so slightly when I mis-hit it, which is usually off the toe. I myself, have the fubuki alpha which is a wonderful shaft but "only" has 50t which is good enough for me. If I had 800 dollars to spend, I would get the mitsubish stinger prototype which I have tried and is similar to the alpha, but is made with boron(not new technology btw, honma has been making boron shafts for a long time which my father has in his honma irons). .

It's a great shaft. I just got my new r9 supertri tp outfitted with the fubuki alpha 60 x-stiff. The trajectory is similar compared to the old fubuki tour and doesn't twist as much at impact. The great thing about it is that it doesn't allow the ball to balloon either which equals a mid launch drive with low spin. This shaft is perfect for guys that have high swing speeds like me who like to keep the ball lower and maintain control of the club. The alpha is similar to fujikura's f1 motore vc6.0 speeder which I have tried as well.

**update** Something I should clarify In regards to Miura forging: The foundry Miura purchases their forgings from does 90% of the forging then Miura reheats it and uses a small pressing machine to smooth the surface.

Still they are not forged in house just waned to update you guy's with that latest tid bit. Not discrediting the brand in anyway they make SOLID product.
