Tour Only Tourstage X-Wedge 101HB M Grind Wedges

While at the driving range today I ran into Manami Ogawa, an up and coming 21 year old pro on the Japanese ladies tour. I happen to know her father from our Kiminomori community where he helped us out with our garden. She is a fully sponsored Tourstage pro and I noticed she had new clubs in her bag so I thought I would snap some pics of her tour only black X-Wedge 101HB with custom M Grind. Manamin as she is known on tour and by her friends also sports the new Tourstage X-Blade 703 Forged shafted with prototype Tour AD iron shafts in the MD Blue color.

I talked to her about her clubs and she mentioned especially how forgiving the new 703 Forged were especially with graphite shafts. Still a smaller head with less offset making it very workable but with added forgiveness which everyone can use. The X-Wedge are the high bounce models with lots of trailing edge relief which suit the lush and soft courses of Japan very well.  I love the look of her wedges and I think I may just have to borrow them soon.

Surprisingly those are the same irons and wedges Tourstage sent for me wife except she has nspro 850 shafts in the irons and nspro 950 in her wedges. The 703s are definitely more forgiving than the 701s. She also plays on the JLPGA.

Many of the top Tourstage ladies have made the move to the 703 and the 101 wedges. A great combo!
