TourStage Finishes Year with #1 Most Win’s in Japan!

The TourStage company owned by Bridgestone produces high performance and quality golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. In the states they are fairly new and known as Bridgestone Sports while in Japan they have been around for decades and operate at least a dozen other co brands in the golf industry.  With huge backing like that behind a golf company and the insane amount of recorces available at any moment it is no wonder why TourStage takes the top spot on the Japanese mens & ladies golf tours.

23 TourStage Japan Players on contract =  22 Victories!

TourStage has dominated their competitors in this arena yet they are still not the #1 selling brand in Japan. Perhaps this shows they have deep pockets with Bridgestone backing them, whatever the case here at TSG we need no convincing and already know the product is superior to most in regards design & quality.  The below victories do not include tournaments won outside of Japan.

Have you taken a look at the TourStage Products in the TSG ProShop yet ? They just released a ton of new items like the X-Drive 703, ViQ Driver & Fairway Wood, X-Blade 803 Iron, ViQ Irons, and more! Have a look by clicking here or the ProShop tab at the very top.

The thing is that I always thought Tourstage needs to be more selective when sponsoring pros. Yes 22 victories is impressive but 60 percent of those victories came from THREE players! Ikeda Yuuta, Jeon Mi Jung (apparently known as Tamotsu Sadami), and my fav pro Arimura Chie. Both Tourstage and Sri-sports sponsor a very large number of pros indeed showing their deep pockets. There are some pros they could do without.

If you look at successful brands like Yamaha and PRGR you can actually count their men pros combined with the fingers on one hand! These brands are more selective on who they sponsor.

There is no doubt though the quality of TS products and their focus on the Athlete golfer with the X-Series where they are close to the best selling. The market in Japan though is dominated by the average golfer which spreads its business out among all the top brands so it is difficult for one brand to thoroughly dominate since all brands produce such high quality gear.

I’m surprised TS doesn’t sell better than they do in Japan. My thoughts are as T said, that they are geared toward the better Golfer and most of the players are average at best and needing forgiving shovels. :) I’ve been a TS fan for many years. It is the brand that hooked me into the JDM market. I’ve found that everything TS makes is absolute top quality. Hhhmmmm I think I need to put an all TS bag together….

I have never held a TourStage Club in my hand that did not feel well balanced and looked great at address. Then when you hit one of their Clubs…Wow!! I am so glad that TourStage is staying true to their values and commitment to produce only high quality Golf Clubs

They have made some pretty decent attempts at semi game improvement designs but what I think they really need is clubs that look as strong and serious as the X-Series while maintaining more game improvement qualities.

I like the ViQ series because its forgiving and user friendly but the draw back is it doesnt exude that manly strong high tech feel like the X models do.

Still have not found a better iron than my X-blade 901’s. Absolutely love everything about them from their look to the way they perform to their feel. IMO the best iron ever produced hands down. Nothing comes close.
