PRGR Egg II Irons – Ultimate Hybrid Performance

neweggPRGR Golf or Pro Gear as it is known to many, is about to release the followup to their very popular hybrid iron set the EGG Irons from 2008. The EGG was a favorite of many average and senior golfers in Japan looking for distance and forgiveness in a very very easy to hit package. The EGG iron was essentially a complete set of over-sized hybrids all the way down to the wedges. The scooped out cavity and wide sole made every iron easy to hit. The shaft lengths featured a 38.5" 5 iron with a 23* loft which meant added distance overall.

One complaint from some players though was that the the heads were a bit too much on the large size, especially heel to toe where they were very long. The all new EGG II improves on the overall shape of the iron by decreasing its heel to toe length and increasing its sole width for the longer irons. This allows for the CG to be placed even further back creating perhaps the easiest to launch irons from any lie. The overall size of the 7 to Wedges has decreased in order to be more accurate.

The new EGG II also features a redesigned shaft which produces more feel and kick and especially benefits those having troubles keeping the ball straight by creating a shaft with a softer butt and stiffer tip improving the overall direction of the iron and creating a high missle like trajectory that does not balloon. The new EGG II will be released in Japan on August 25th so look for it in the TSG Pro Shop!
